Having a device that does multiple jobs is a great thing. Such a device not only does save space and money but also provides peace of mind. In this context the HP Deskjet F380 can be considered a clear winner. This super useful device can do printing, scanning and copying-all at the same place. And believe it or not, it does all the three jobs perfectly.
Whether you are a writer, a graphic artist, an office or freelance worker the HP Deskjet F380 can be extremely useful to you. Creative people who want to take a printout of their graphical artwork, collage or even photographs often complain that the color on the printout doesn't come as beautiful as it's on the computer monitor. This isn't going to be the case with this printer since it can make color printouts at resolutions as high as 4800 x 1200 dpi. If you use the correct paper and if there's enough ink, you'll get stunning color printouts.
The scanning system lies on the top of the HP Deskjet F380 and consists of a thin plastic lid cover over a smooth glass surface. This system makes the stand alone scanners almost obsolete. The scanned documents can appear a bit darker than their natural color but if you export them as images and fine tune the brightness and contrast, you can almost achieve their original color.
If you want to make a quick copy of a document, then HP Deskjet F380 allows that facility as well. This device can copy at 600 dpi resolution at a decent rate of 20 pages per minute. Great for small scale businessmen who can't afford those bull sized copiers. One thing that must be known is that a copy made this way will cost significantly higher than the conventional Xerox machine outputs.
Usual glitches and issues like paper jam and ink consumption has somewhat tarnished the popularity of the HP Deskjet F380, but a closer analysis will explain that no printer in this world is immune to paper jams. You can surely minimize the instances of paper jams by either fanning the stack of papers on your printer tray, or just by taking them out and shuffling a little. The air gaps produced this way, facilitates smoother paper rolling.
Critiques and cynics have also accused the HP Deskjet F380 of being too expensive. But if you sum up the price of a copier, printer and scanner bought separately, you'll find that this all-in-one machine's price tag is anything but justified.
