Inkjet Recycling For Cash - Recycle Ink Cartridges For Laser printers
Most homes that have a personal computer also have a printer. The most widespread form of printer is the Inkjet which uses a combination of either black, black & colour or colour cartridges to form an image. Inkjet is a word first used by Canon who pioneered the first commercially available ink jet printers in 1990 that rapidly heat ink to fire a jet at paper. Today, its popularity grown from cheap running costs and photo quality have made the demand for cartridges high. Estimates say that around 35 millions inkjet cartridges are thrown disposed of each year. Unfortunately, most of these go straight to landfill. The rest are either re-filled, returned to the manufacturer or recycled. Where To Recycle There are many places that allow people to dispose of their old cartridges for recycling such as supermarkets, personal computer shops, printer shops and online. Luckily there are places that will give cash for inkjet recycling online. Anyone can look up their make and model of printer cartridge, post it free, then receive around £1 for each. There are some homes that will have a drawer full of these, some will be worth something while others wont, but they should still be disposed of in the correct way to stop the landfill problem. Schools can benefit more from this inkjet recycling for cash scheme because approximately 350 cartridges are used every year. That could be £350 for a school. Businesses are another who could greatly benefit from this. Even if they are not worth anything, there are places that recycle old cartridges for the benefit of the environment. This should be part of any company's large or small 'Corporate and Social Responsibility'. Inkjet Cartridges Recycling Anyone who has 5 or more cartridges that are on the list of wanted cartridges can earn one pound for each one. Any that are not wanted will still be correctly disposed of. To find out which cartridges are accepted for a cash return visit the website for the list. Once 5 have been added to the basket a registration form must be completed then the cartridges can be sent. If there are less than 5 inkjet cartridges, old mobile phones and iPods can also be recycled along with the cartridges.
