Does the Portable Laser Printer Reviews Exist
Having seen the title of this article, those of you in the know may already be thinking ; what, did those clever computer scientists find some way to make a laser printer sufficiently small to be considered portable? Sadly the answer is no, there is not any such thing as a transportable laser printer, and we're going to consider the reasons why. First, let's take a basic look at how HP Laser Printers work.
Most of the Laser printers work on a page by page basis. The data that makes up the page is sent to the printer and the page doesn't start printing until the whole document is in the laser printer's memory. A laser scans across the surface of a drum that rotates, and flashes off and on to make a dot on the drum that has a different polarity to the remainder of the drum. This dot attracts the toner to it-toner being a combination of powdered plastic and a colorant.
The drum is rolled across a chunk of paper, transferring the toner to the paper. This temperature alone needs a certain amount of space within the case, and space is expensive with a conveyable printer.
A liquid ink is passed out of the cartridge by varying strategies that result in the ink being passed out, thru a print head and onto the paper.
due to the way the 2 machines work, they are sized way differently. Inkjets don't contain an imaging drum-instead manufacturing the photographs through the print heads. The power required is far littler, and hence is capable of being supplied by a battery.
for that reason it is inkjet printers that may be able to be made sufficiently little to be transportable. The lightest portable inkjet is just 2lb in weight, but the tiniest laser printer now is 10lb and fourteen inches wide, by nine deep.
Most laser printers are black and white only or Monochrome Laser Printers.
In the future maybe technology will increase to the point that portable laser printers are possible except for today, the only portable printer is an inkjet.
