With the excellent resolution of 9600 x 2400 maximum color dpi this would be outstanding for any documents or pictures.
The G3 fax from Canon is capable to send letters, documents, pictures, and information to other fax machines. With the G3 fax it enhance the fax by recognizing over 250 shades of grey. So the fax is super detailed. You can also fax to a multiple of different places at the same time.
And of course it is energy efficient.
The print speed for plain text pages were about 6.5 pages per minute. Color pages averaged around 2 pages per minute. The Canon printer PIXMA MX870 is designed to use 4 colors in separate ink cartridges which in turn reduces the cost of the ink. The colors come in black,cyan, yellow, and magenta.
